![]() ![]() They instantly lock into anything that gets within their range, they target you through walls, through threes and maintain lock even when their radar is destroyed. Why? Because it creates a 5km no-fly zone around it. It needs to be removed or be toned down significantly. It's a very flawed mode, but it's promising. I began re-spading my helicopters again after a long time and actually had a lot of fun. Any team with more than a couple <9.3 vehicles is always a quick loss. I hate how you seem to have forgotten this bracket starts at 8.3. Gives them a false sense of contribution so they never try to improve. ![]() Normally it wouldn't matter but it teaches helicopter pilots that they don't really have to try very hard to be first on the team. ![]() Getting 72 kills and 36 assists gives me 4300ish points where a helicopter with 17 kills and 50 assists gets 7500 points putting them easily first on the team. I don't like how the scoring is so skewed in favor of air units. My only options are to use heat (which probably means we'll lose in the final round) or switch to a lower tiered abrams with 105 ammo. I don't mean my ammo racks were empty, I mean my entire supply of 120 shells the hangar allows me to purchase gets expended so that even if I drive over a repair/rearm thing, or J out for a fresh tank, it starts me at zero ammo. I don't like how tanks have to carry so much harder now, to the point where every win I've gotten since the change I've literally run out of ammo before the last wave. More often than not im seeing helos being crashed or J out to rearm.ģ) Helis in general are farming top points mostly because of assists, I range 2-3x assists to my actual kills and thats mostly because im crippling tanks instead of killing them with my 40mm or my hydras or missles.Ĥ) 40mm and the cannon on the MI-28/Ka-50 are decently effective and pretty fun to gunship but really only with the AP rounds (USSR Helos)ĥ )Hellfires are decently effective but the flight time is a liability again when the onslaught is pouring into the base.Ħ) Alot of matches last 5-10mins because teams are either crap or just cant keep up with the onslaught ( i get this is kinda the point of the mode but it really sucks to queue my first match and get a crap daily reward because my team was full potato )ħ) Alot of the tanks we're rendering inside the ground for me when I was in the heli, I've never seen this while on the ground.Ĩ) Some helos are trash for this mode, Prem BO is an example, TOW missiles feel really ineffective and lack of effective cannon or rocket armsĩ) After playing for several hrs the SL reward was decent, no one is getting rich from this but it doesn't feel pointless, but the RP rewards are only decent if its your first match and you complete the full time otherwise the RP gain is mostly pointless ( literally only a couple hundred RP up to maybe 2000ish RP ) The MI-28 rockets are king here.Ģ) Missile reload time is really long especially when the enemy tanks are pouring into the base, it is really hard to keep up with the onslaught. What I have noticed after playing several hrs:ġ) Rockets are much more useful than Missiles until the SPAA come in, missiles of all types just seem very lack luster only doing minor damage VS being able to spam hydras or tiny Ivans and get 1 kill per burst. ![]() I think the mode is a REALLY fun alternative to HELI EC. ![]()
